Happy New year actor Sonu Sood recently sold his luxury apartment in Mahalaxmi, Mumbai, for Rs 8.10 crore, making a profit of nearly Rs 3 crore from the high-value property transaction, according to registration documents reviewed by online real estate portal Square Yards. The sale was officially registered in August 2025.

As per property records obtained from the Inspector General of Registration (IGR), the apartment is located in the upscale Lokhandwala Minerva residential tower. The home has a carpet area of 1,247 sq. ft. (116 sq. m.) and a built-up area of approximately 1,497 sq. ft. (139.07 sq. m.), making it one of the premium units in the development.
The deal also includes two dedicated car parking spaces. Registration documents reveal that the transaction includes a stamp duty charge of Rs 48.60 lakh and registration fees of Rs 30,000, adding to the overall cost for the buyer.
According to Square Yards analysis, Sood had purchased the property in 2012 for Rs 5.16 crore. This marks a significant appreciation in value over the past 13 years.

Sonu Sood’s film career
Sood began his acting career in 1999 with two Tamil films, Kallazhagar and Nenjinile. He made his Bollywood debut with Shaheed-E-Azam (2002), where he played Bhagat Singh, and later gained recognition with major roles in Dabangg (2010) and Simmba (2018). Apart from Hindi cinema, he has also worked extensively in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada films.
