Airport dining in India has traded its soggy sandwiches and predictable coffee for a sizzling upgrade; and it comes with the firepower of celebrated chef Gordon Ramsay himself. The Michelin-starred chef, known as much for his uncompromising palate as for his kitchen fury, has landed in Delhi not with a white-tablecloth temple of fine dining, but with something cheekier, juicier and infinitely more Instagram-ready — Gordon Ramsay Street Burger.
Opening at Delhi Airport’s Terminal 1, the burger joint promises the swagger of street food fused with the polish of a global culinary icon and a delicious signal that airport dining is no longer just a pit stop, but a destination.
According to NDTV food, Andy Wenlock, CEO of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, said, “Indian airports are the new stage for our culinary journey, and we are excited to see how travellers embrace these vibrant, flavour-intense dining experiences.”
What’s on the menu?
The restaurant will offer gourmet burgers with crunchy fries and refreshing drinks to complete the meal. Diners can choose from items such as the Butternut Bhaji Burger, Gordon’s Fried Chicken Burger, Hotter than Hell Fries, Sticky Toffee Pudding, cocktails, and much more.
Gordon partners with TFS
Ramsay has partnered with Travel Food Services (TFS), a major player in the Indian airport hospitality sector. The tie-up aims to open six dining restaurants across Indian airports, bringing the chef’s other signature concepts – Gordon Ramsay Plane Food, Street Pizza, and Gordon Ramsay Plane Food To-Go.
Plane Food will serve meals throughout the day for travellers, Street Pizza will bring freshly made pizzas, and Plane Food To-Go will offer quick meals for people in a rush.
According to an official statement, Ramsay’s team said, “The three-year deal will launch six restaurants by 2027. The partnership will bring Ramsay’s signature concepts to India. The initiative aims to transform terminal dining into an exhilarating, top-tier gastronomic adventure.”
