On day 13 the film earned Rs 35 lakh till 3 PM. However, the India net collection of the film has touched the Rs 100.25 crore mark.

According to Industry, tracker Sacnilk, the box office collection of Empuraan in India over its first 13 days totalled Rs 100.25 crore. The film had an impressive start with Rs 21 crore on Day 1, driven largely by strong performances in the Malayalam (Rs 18.6 crore) and Telugu (Rs 1.15 crore) markets. However, the following day saw a significant drop of 47.14% to Rs 11.1 crore. It then witnessed a slight recovery on Day 3 with Rs 13.25 crore, marking a 19.37% increase, and continued with modest growth on Day 4.
The momentum dipped during the weekdays, with sharp declines on Day 5 (-18.32%) and Day 6 (-23.32%), followed by a notable 33.92% drop on Day 7. The second week showed fluctuating trends with a low of Rs 0.35 crore on Day 13, but the film maintained a strong total collection, with Malayalam contributing the bulk of the earnings at Rs 80.7 crore, followed by Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi markets.
Controversy around L2: Empuraan
Recently, the Enforcement Directorate(ED) conducted thorough searches in the offices of Gokulam Gopalan, who became one of the producers of Empuraan to sort out the financial issues between Lyca Productions and Aashirvad Cinemas. Furthermore, actor-director Prithviraj Sukamaran also faced notices from the Income Tax Department to declare his earnings from his previous films.
