Zubair Khan profile: Popular TV soap opera Bigg Boss 11 has started once again with glitz and glamour. And as usual, a number of celebrities have been included in the new season of the Salman Khan hosted show. One such contestant was Zubair Khan. In the Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Salman Khan scolded Zubair Khan for lying about his family connection. Soon after that Zubair was taken out of the house due to medical reasons and later Salman announced that Zubair has been evicted, having secured the lowest number of votes. A film-maker by profession, Zubair owns a production house named ‘Garbage’ but mostly he is also known for his connections with India’s most wanted criminal, Dawood Ibrahim. As per PTI, the director is married to Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar’s daughter. However, Zubair has openly denied having any links to the underworld and has repeatedly appealed to people to know him for the work he does. Speaking to PTI, he said that news of having connections with Dawood has cost him badly and therefore, he will use the Bigg Boss platform to change this perception about him.
“Since 2011 all the buyers, investors and others backed out (from his film projects) as they got to know that I am related to Dawood Ibrahim. People were scared of me. This (‘Bigg Boss’) is an opportunity for me to change the perspective of a lot of people in the film industry,” Zubair told PTI. In 2013, Zubair had directed a movie named Lakeer Ke Fakeer.
Zubair says that he is against the anti-social elements of the society and wants to fight against them. “Since the day I got married I have taken ‘panga’ (risk). I have been getting threatening calls since then. I don’t care. I feel there is one life and death. Change is constant and death is permanent, I know death will come some day, so it is better to fight and then die. I don’t want to be a coward. My fight is against illegal elements of the society. It’s a cause,” Zubair says.
As per an Indian Express report, Zubair has filed a complaint against the Salman Khan as Salman threatened him. According to him, Salman said that he would not be able to work in the industry anymore and made statements like “I will make you my dog. Will see you after you leave the home.” Zubair also said that Salman has proved that he is afraid of underworld dons and terrorists.
