The film, well received by the audience and critics alike, has an ‘A’ rated tag from the censor board that has certainly affected its overall collections. However, despite this, the business has been good. In this special box office report, we take a look at the economics of the film to analyze its overall profitability for the film’s makers.

The makers of ‘Badlapur’ have made an overall profit of approx. Rs. 9.81 crores.

‘Badlapur’ maintained its box office collections domination by clocking Rs 36.31 core in the first week, which is only topped by Akshay Kumar’s ‘Baby’ (Rs 63.82 crore). (Bollywood Hungama)

While this sum of Rs. 9.81 crores is by no way a small amount considering the ‘Adult’ rating it got, the film continues to run in theatres with estimated profits of Rs. 13-14 crores approximately.
