Singer-actor Rishabh Tandon aka Faqeer passed away in Delhi on Wednesday, October 22, after suffering from a heart attack, according to a report by NDTV. The 35-year-old singer, who lived with his wife and actor-model Olesya Nedobegova in Mumbai was in the city to celebrate Diwali with his family.

“He died last night after a heart attack. He was in Delhi since August as his father was not well,” a family source told NDTV.

According to an India Today report, his family is in a complete state of shock and waiting for the relatives to conduct the singer’s final rites.

Known for his works like Phir Se Wahi and Ishq Faqeerana, the singer found music as a way to express himself and connect with his true self. He took a 10-year break from music to focus on his father’s business but dropped it all when he had a calling to return to music in 2020, as per a TOI report. Yeh Ashiqui, and Chand Tu are some of his other popular tracks.

How Tandon met his wife Olesya

Tandon’s last Instagram post is a glimpse into his Karwa Chauth celebrations with wife Olesya who’s from Russia. They first met on the sets of his digital series in Uzbekistan where she was a line producer.

While they didn’t speak a word during the shoot, before leaving the two met again and sparks flew between them, so much so that Rishabh proposed marriage to her.

The two tied the knot on January 7, 2023, within few months of their first meeting in October 2022, the singer revealed in an interview with TOI.

A pet lover

According to reports, Tandon turned a year older on October 10. Rishabh was also a pet parent and took care of several cats, dogs, and birds.

The singer in the past had made headlines over speculations about his relationship with actor Sara Khan when she was snapped wearing sindoor. However, Sara had rubbished the rumours.
