With the release of Salman Khan’s film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ right around the corner, a controversy has hit the actor – doing the rounds is a morphed image of Salman on social networking sites.
Salman Khan’s manager has filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime Cell over the issue however, an FIR is yet to be registered.
The image in question was that of a morphed version of a screen grab of a well-known Hindi news channel in which Salman Khan ‘goes on record’ to say that he does not need the support of Muslims to make his upcoming ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ film a hit.
According to the police, the image was circulated in light of the argument between Asaduddin Owaisi (Chief of ‘All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen’) and Salman Khan that had taken place last year.
Speaking about the same, KMM Prasanna (Additional Commissioner of Police- Crime) said that they have received an application from Salman Khan, which they have forwarded to Cyber Crime Cell. He also added that while the Cyber Cell is investigating the said matter, it will then decide whether or not to register an FIR.
