The Ram Charan and Kiara Advani-starrer ‘’Game Changer’’ which hits screens on January 10, 2025 has been under fire over discrepancies in its box office earnings. Producers initially claimed a staggering Rs 186 crore worldwide gross on its first day but industry tracker Sacnik reported Rs 51 crore for its Day 1 domestic earnings. The major gap in data has resulted in heated debates within the film industry regarding the credibility of box office claims.

While Game Changer movie witnessed a massive opening of Rs 51 crore on Day 1 (Friday) the collections saw a sharp fall in subsequent days.
Day 2 (Saturday): Rs 21.6 crore
Day 3( Sunday): Rs 15.9 crore
Day 4 (Monday ): Rs 7.65 crore
Day 5 (Tuesday): Rs 10 crore
Day 6 (Wednesday): Rs 7 crore
Day 7 (Thursday): Rs 4.45 crore
The film’s total domestic collection by the end of its first season was recorded at Rs 117.69 crore. The movie has surpassed Rs 100 crore but it is still far away to reach Rs 130 crore. The downslide trend in weekday collections showcase challenges in maintaining its pace.
As per The Indian Express report, Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has criticised the inflated opening day claims, calling them as unbelievably lies and expressed his concern regarding the long-term impact of such practices on South Indian cinema’s reputation.
Despite all these setbacks, audiences have hailed the performances of Ram Charan. However, the widening gap between reported and actual earnings has impacted the film’s success.
