With NH10, Anushka Sharma became one of the youngest producers in the history of Indian cinema to produce a film – its box office collections now stand at Rs 17.30 crore and, what is most important, is that she has turned a profit – not a windfall, but nevertheless, a decent profit.

The film which tells a dark, gritty and somewhat violent tale of honour killings and also features the actress as the main lead has been garnering immense appreciation from the critics and audience alike.

Despite the ‘A’ rated tag from the censor board, the NH10’s business has been good. In this special box office report, we take a look at the economics of the film to analyse its overall profitability for the filmmakers.
