The autopsy report of Anil Mehta, the father of actor-model Malaika Arora, has confirmed that he died due to multiple injuries, according to police sources. Mehta, 62, tragically fell from the sixth floor of his residence at “Ayesha Manor” in Mumbai’s Bandra Almeida Park area on Wednesday, September 11.
Malaika Arora’s mother was present in their sixth-floor flat when Mehta reportedly jumped. Following the incident, Mumbai Police quickly arrived at the scene and transported Mehta to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The post-mortem examination, conducted at Mumbai’s Bhabha Hospital around 8 pm on Wednesday, determined that multiple injuries were the cause of death.
In the wake of her father’s death, Malaika Arora released a heartfelt statement on Instagram, expressing the family’s profound sorrow. “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock over this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect,” the statement read.
