The much-anticipated Jr NTR starrer Devara: Part 1 has finally hit the big screens, creating waves not only in Telugu-speaking regions but also in Kerala. The film has raked in over Rs 12.62 lakhs in pre-sales from Kerala alone, with 237 shows and 6,037 admissions, according to the Twitter forum Friday Matinee. This is a remarkable feat for a Jr NTR film in Kerala, where anticipation has been high. For comparison, Vijay’s GOAT previously pulled in over Rs 1.25 crore in pre-sales in the region.

Directed by Koratala Siva, best known for hits like Janatha Garage and Mirchi, Devara: Part 1 stars Jr NTR in dual roles as Devara and Varadha. The film follows Devara, a fearless man who embarks on a sea journey to protect his people. Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan portrays Bhaira, Devara’s brother, while Janhvi Kapoor makes her Telugu debut as Thangam.

Current estimates indicate that Devara is expected to gross around Rs 28.97 crore from domestic ticket sales alone, with an impressive 11.6 lakh tickets sold in advance bookings. Trade analysts believe that, including blocked seat collections, the film’s Day 1 domestic earnings could reach a remarkable Rs 44.08 crore.

With Saif Ali Khan receiving criticism for his role as Raavana in Adipurush, fans are eager to see his performance in Devara, expecting a strong comeback. The film’s action-packed storyline and star-studded cast have only fueled excitement, promising an entertaining spectacle.
