Ace Telugu director SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster multi-lingual film “Baahubali”, which has reportedly raked in Rs 500 crore in first three weeks, has inspired Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

Presented by ace filmmaker Karan Johar in Hindi, the movie received appreciation from veterans like Amitabh Bachchan. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is the latest film personality to praise the hard work that had gone into the making of the movie.

“To everyone involved, thanks for the inspiration. You can only reach the sky if you are willing to take the leap!” tweeted Shah Rukh on Sunday.

The Prabhas and Rana Daggubati-starrer ‘Baahubali’ hit around 4,000 screens worldwide in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam languages.

Also starring Ramya Krishna, Anushka and Tamanna in the lead roles, the film is touted as one of the most expensive films made in the country with a reported budget of about Rs 200 crore.

The movie, a mythological drama about two brothers at war for a kingdom, took nearly three years to complete and has been widely appreciated for its visual and other special effects. The film however left the narrative incomplete and a second part in the Rs 250 crore franchise is slated for release next year.

“Baahubali” generated unprecedented interest among the audience in the run-up to its release and it managed to sustain it three weeks past its release.
