Marvel Cinematic Universe’s latest offering Avengers: Endgame is breaking records left, right and center. Just a day old, the Russo brothers directorial has already smashed ticket counters wide open with its jaw-dropping 169 million dollars collection at the international box office, as reported by Deadline.

Avengers Endgame has created a new record for IMAX by earning RMB 93 million from 608 screens in China, according to the same report. It is a record that surpasses the collection of Avengers: Infinity War. The running cume estimate through Thursday in China (i.e. today, and still an early number which is not fully included in the total above), is $153M (RMB 1.03B). This reflects a $45.5M Thursday which is a roughly 42% drop from Wednesday (sans midnights). However, that’s an expected dip given the hyper-anticipation for opening day. The full weekend, which is a 5-day frame that includes just one non-workday, is looking towards the $300M+ zone.

Avengers Endgame released in India today and fans from all parts of the country has been making a beeline outside theaters to catch the latest MCU flick.

Endgame currently holds an impressive rating of 96 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

Early indications point to record-setting numbers for midnights and the rest of the session in the UK. However, Applaudience reports that as of midday local time today, about 1.2M tickets have been sold for the FSS.

However, fans were upset by the movie leak which took place a couple of days ahead of Avengers: Endgame’s worldwide release. Kevin Feige, the Studio head had expressed his disappointment on the subject.

However, the Avengers Endgame happens to be the twenty-second movie under the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) which is a direct sequel to the 2018 Marvel action flick Avengers: Infinity War. The film which has been directed by Joe and Anthony Russo also happens to be one of the most awaited movies of the year 2019.
