The West Bengal Council for Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has announced minor revisions to the syllabus for select subjects in Classes 11 and 12. These changes aim to streamline the curriculum and improve the alignment of the subjects with contemporary academic requirements. Students and educators can access the updated syllabus through the official WBCHSE website: wbchse.wb.gov.in.

According to the official notification, the syllabus updates pertain to several subjects, including English B, English A, Alternative English, Bengali A, Hindi A, Hindi B, History, Political Science, Accountancy, Costing & Taxation, Business Studies, Education, Science of Well-being, Statistics, Philosophy, Environmental Studies, Economics, Geography and Biological Science.

These updates, however, will come into effect starting next academic year. WBCHSE President Dr. (Prof.) Chiranjib Bhattacharjee confirmed that the revisions will be incorporated into the fourth edition of the syllabus book. Furthermore, the modifications will be reflected in the model question papers, which are expected to be released alongside the revised syllabus next year.
