The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) will open registration for the Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test (TS LAWCET) counselling 2024 on August 5. Eligible candidates can apply through the official website, lawcetadm.tsche.ac.in.
This registration process is for students seeking admission into either a three-year or five-year LLB program. All candidates must pay a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 800 or Rs 500 for SC/ST candidates, via online payment methods (credit cards, debit cards, or internet banking) in favour of ‘Secretary, TGCHE’.
The registration period will remain open until August 20. To participate in the counselling, candidates must be Indian nationals and meet the local or non-local status requirements.
Please note that the online notification serves as an invitation for web counselling; no separate call letters will be issued. Attending web counselling does not guarantee admission.
Eligibility for 3-year LLB
Candidates must have completed a Graduate Degree (10+2+3 pattern) from a recognized university or an equivalent examination with at least 45% aggregate marks for the general category, 42% for OBC, and 40% for SC/ST. If the aggregate percentage is lower, candidates may still qualify if they have secured the required percentage in a Post Graduate or B.Ed. degree.
Candidates who obtained their degree through a single sitting or from an open university without basic qualifications are not eligible as per G.O. Ms No. 31 dated 18-03-2009.
Eligibility for 5-Year LLB
Candidates must have passed a two-year intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) with 45% aggregate marks for the general category, 42% for OBC, and 40% for SC/ST, or an equivalent examination recognized by the university or the Board of Intermediate Education, T.S./A.P.
Applicants who obtained their 10+2 or graduation/post-graduation through open universities without basic qualifications (i.e., SSC) are not eligible for admission into the LLB courses.
