PSEB 12th class SSE results 2017: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) announced the Senior Secondary class 12th examination results on March 13. 2017 witnessed the lowest passing percentage in the last three years. On top of that, in a major goof-up by a government school, left as many as 30 class 12th students needlessly waiting for their missing results. The results of 30 students studying at the Government Senior Secondary School Nawanshahr were not declared as wrong names were entered by the school when the board forms were filled last year. These 30 students belong to the vocational stream of class 12th in the government school, according to an Indian Express report.

When the principal of the school was approached, she confirmed the news and said that the wrong name of the course had gone to the board office due to a technical fault in the online system. She said, “But, we got it corrected the very next day and the board received the forms last November.” She further added, “We have requested the board to release the result and a meeting regarding this has been held. Now, we are waiting for the result.”

While the problem has been addressed by the school and board authorities, the students are puzzled as they still have not received their score cards and their admission to higher institutions has been left hanging in air. On of the students was reported as saying, “If our stream name was mentioned wrong, then how did we get the correct question paper (vocational stream)? They were aware of our course which was corrected the very next day and that was why they supplied us the right question papers.”
