The National Eligibility and Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 counselling has been postponed until further notice. On July 6, the NEET UG all-India quota (AIQ) seat counselling was supposed to begin. The news was released after the Supreme Court declined to postpone the start of the NEET UG counselling, which was slated to happen today.
On July 8, the supreme court, presided over by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra, will hear a variety of NEET UG 2024 pleas.
Petitioners have claimed that there has been a paper leak in these petitions; some have requested for the complete exam to be cancelled and the medical entrance exam to be rescheduled yet others have called for a probe of the National Testing Agency’s (NTA) procedures, among other demands.
There are several rounds to the NEET UG counselling, including mop-up and stray vacancy rounds. After passing the medical entrance exam, students must first register, pay the expenses associated with NEET UG counselling, fill out and lock their choices, upload supporting documentation, and physically show up at the designated institute.
