In Tier 2, 3 cities, Jaipur leads AI job openings
In the aftermath of DEI initiatives, and the expansion of AI, the corporate sector has showcased its willingness to create a more inclusive space by opening up job roles in leading industries, like AI, in their offices in Tier 2 and 3 cities. The report shows that Jaipur had the highest number of openings, followed by Indore and South Goa.
Other Tier 2,3 cities with AI jobs included Gwalior, Haridwar, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Jodhpur, Trivandrum, Udaipur, Bhopal, Agra, Dhar, and Bikaner.
“Amidst the changed industry scenario and job roles, the steady rise in job openings for AI roles in Tier 2 and 3 cities is emblematic of the massive talent available in smaller cities, and is also a testament to their eagerness to learn the most in-demand skills,” said Rahul Veerwal, Founder & CEO at GetWork.
Veerwal added that at the same time, irrespective of geographical peripheries, this jump can also be attributed to the readiness of companies to create equal opportunities for talented individuals across India.
As per the report of GetWork, Tier 1 cities like Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and others were able to hold a good 86 per cent demand in AI job roles.
According to GetWork’s job portal, in the last five months, the Indian Silicon Valley contributed to 34% of the AI job openings. This was followed by Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Kolkata.
