Software giant Wipro has announced multiple changes in its top leadership team. As part of the reshuffle, Anurag Behar, chief executive of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering, will move to Azim Premji Foundation as co-CEO while TK Kurien will take over as the president of Wipro Eco-Energy. The other significant change has been the appointment of human resources head Pratik Kumar as the president of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering.
A Wipro official told FE that the reshuffle was being done as Behar was keen to move over to the Azim Premji Foundation. Besides, the company also felt the need for fresh thinking in new areas of business and Kurien was found to be a good fit. Kurien was earlier heading the company?s consulting services.
According to Wipro, the Azim Premji Foundation has, over the last 10 years, made significant contribution to systemic reform and improvement in the education system in India.
