Aishwarya Roy, estranged wife of former Bihar minister Tej Pratap Yadav, has finally reacted to her husband’s alleged affair with a woman named Anushka Yadav and his expulsion from Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Aishwarya claimed that the family operates in coordination and the expulsion is nothing more than a façade.
“I came to know about divorce through the media… I don’t know anything about this case…,” Tej Pratap Yadav’s wife told reporters, before adding, “The elections are near, that is why they have taken such a step and created this drama.”
She added, “Ask them what was the need to destroy my life. Ask him [Lalu Prasad Yadav] about his social awakening when I was beaten up. Ask them what will happen to me now. They say they have expelled the son, they say they have expelled the brother – ask them, what will happen to me?”
“Weren’t they [Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi] aware of the 12-year-long relationship?” Rai further asked.
“They put the blame on me for everything. Now that it is out, he has had an affair for 12 years and blaming the woman is the easiest way out. When will I get justice? I will continue my fight,” she further said.

She said that she has been fighting the divorce case in court. Tej Pratap and Aishwarya Roy got married in 2018 and started living separately a few months after their marriage.
Lalu Prasad Yadav expels his son from RJD
After Tej Pratap’s alleged affair came to light, Lalu Prasad Yadav expelled his son Tej Pratap from Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for six years and also snapped family ties with him over “irresponsible behaviour” and a disregard for “moral values”.
“Ignoring moral values in personal life weakens our collective struggle for social justice. The activities, public conduct and irresponsible behaviour of the eldest son are not in accordance with our family values and traditions,” said Lalu Prasad Yadav on X.
He added, “Therefore, due to the above circumstances, I have removed him from the party and family. From now on, he will not have any role of any kind in the party and family. He is expelled from the party for 6 years.”
“He is capable of seeing the good and bad and merits and demerits of his personal life. All those who will have relations with him should make their own decisions. I have always been an advocate of public shame in public life. The obedient members of the family have adopted and followed this idea in public life. Thank you,” the 76-year-old politician from Bihar further said.
Tej Pratap’s Facebook post and clarification
Although Tej Pratap has refuted the now-deleted Facebook post from his official account, pictures and videos of him with the woman in question are all over social media. FinancialExpress.com cannot independently verify the authenticity of the visuals.
Tej Pratap’s Facebook account claimed he had been in a long-term relationship. He later alleged that his account had been hacked and some photos were edited with malicious intent.
“My social media platforms have been hacked, and my pictures are being wrongly edited to harass and defame me and my family members. I appeal to my well-wishers and followers to be cautious and not pay heed to any rumours…,” Tej Pratap wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).
