A woman Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) corporator named Dedeepya Rao from Jubilee Hills was allegedly attacked by a group of unidentified women over a dispute involving the removal of flexi banners in Telangana’s Hyderabad city. The incident took place on Tuesday evening while she was travelling in her car.
Following the attack, a case was filed at the Jubilee Hills police station and an investigation has been launched into the matter. “This incident happened last night. We have registered a case against the women who attacked the corporator. More details are awaited,” R Madhusudhan, Detective Inspector at Jubilee Hills Police Station, said, as ANI reported.

A video allegedly depicting the assault has been circulated widely on social media. The footage shows several unidentified women physically confronting the BRS corporator seated in the front of her car. Amid the assault, the driver attempts to intervene and protect the corporator.
Jubilee Hills is a suburban area located in the western part of Hyderabad city.
