Tamil Nadu Trust Vote: Post the drama in the morning session, where the ‘goon behaviour’ of DMK’s working President MK Stalin and other party MLAs forced the Speaker P Dhanapal to adjourn the house twice, winning the vote of confidence turned out to be a cakewalk for the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E Palaniswamy.

According to some experts conducting the house after expelling the DMK MLAs was not a constitutional way.   With 89 members expelled,  it was pretty clear that it would be a cakewalk for AIADMK and according to Dr Subramanian Swamy, Supreme court will uphold it. He said, Constitutionally,  the MLAs who disrupt the house can be expelled and by a resolution, their seats can be declared vacant.

In the event of MLAs refusing to move out of the assembly, the Speaker had several options including changing the venue for votes. When the proceeding started this morning, it looked like it would be concluded within no time. But soon, massive fight for secret ballot erupted and MK Stalin was forced evicted followed by the other DMK MLAs. Soon it turned out to be a law and order situation. The Speaker said that the disruption was unacceptable. There was even a clash happened between marshalls and DMK MLAs. DMK MLAs even sat on the Speakers chair. This is the second time that a bedlam has happened in TN Assembly. With the assembly adjourned twice once at 12 pm and again at 1 pm, it is unlikely that the house will be adjourned again.

However, since this is not the way house can be conducted, maybe the governor Vidyasagar Rao has to step in. MK Stalin, DMK MLA was saying that he will be going to the governor. The other opposition –Congress and Muslim League MLAs also walked out, making it even easier for the Sasikala proxy. And the Speaker within no time declared E Palaniswamy as the winner.

However, a bitter O Panneerselvam said that we have lost the battle but not the war, the voters have been betryaed by MLAs and at the end only dharma will win and Ammas rule will be established.
