In a significant development in the ongoing Saif Ali Khan attack case, the Mumbai Police have recorded the statement of a woman from West Bengal, whose Aadhaar card was used by the accused to purchase a SIM card. This revelation has brought new insights into the investigation.

The Mumbai Police dispatched a team to West Bengal to investigate the matter. During the investigation, the police recorded the statements of two individuals. The woman, whose Aadhaar card was misused, gave her statement to the authorities. In addition, the police also spoke with a relative of the accused who resides in West Bengal. The relative allegedly helped the accused acquire the Aadhaar card, which was later used to buy a SIM card that connected the attacker to the crime.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis addressed the public on the investigation, urging the media to refrain from causing confusion. “In this case, the police are properly conducting an investigation. Police have almost everything related to the case. Police will take this case to its logical conclusion. And for your convenience, our Mumbai Commissioner of Police is here; I will ask him, today or tomorrow or any day, to give you full details of the case,” Fadnavis stated.

The Mumbai Police have also taken further steps in their investigation, collecting Saif Ali Khan’s blood sample and clothing to aid in forensic analysis. This comes as part of the ongoing probe into the attack on the actor at his Mumbai residence.

Earlier this month, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his home by an intruder, later identified as Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad. The attacker, who had entered the residence with the intention of committing theft, clashed violently with Khan. During the altercation, Khan sustained multiple stab wounds to his thoracic spine and other parts of his body. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital for immediate medical treatment and is recovering from his injuries.
