Ayodhya Ram Mandir Tight Security: As the grand Lord Ram ‘pran prathistha’ ceremony day in Ayodhya nears on January 22, elaborate security arrangements are in place in the temple town as eminent personalities, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, from the nation and across the world will converge at the place. Around 10,000 CCTV cameras have been installed in the entire district and cops have been deployed in the area. Some of the CCTVs cameras are AI-powered.
Director General (DG), Law and Order, Prashant Kumar, told news agency PTI that security has been ensured for every road along the entire red zone, yellow zone and Ayodhya district.
Traffic advisory has been issued and heavy traffic has been diverted around Ayodhya since January 18.
All major roads coming towards Ayodhya have been converted into green corridors to ensure smooth flow of traffic.
Multilingual policemen are deployed in plain clothes at the Ram Mandir venue and they have been trained well, the DG said.
Security around the Sarayu river, which flows in Ayodhya, has also been increased, and security arrangements are made with the help of power boats, the NDRF and SDRF teams, and with local boatmen.
Heavy security has also been deployed at the international and inter-state border. Police said that they are using drones for crowd control and diversion of excess crowd.
The pran-prathistha ceremony is set to held on January 22. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be present at the venue. Along with them, revered seers, film personalities, sportspersons and industrialists have also been invited to the event.
