Nearly a month after results for the Rajasthan elections were announced on December 3, 22 BJP MLAs were sworn in as ministers of the Rajasthan government during the swearing-in ceremony held at the Raj Bhawan in Jaipur on Saturday. Of these, 12 were sworn in as Cabinet ministers, five as ministers of state (independent charge) and five as ministers of state.

The new ministers were administered the oath to office and secrecy by Governor Kalraj Mishra at the event.

The MLAs who are inducted into the Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma-led Cabinet are Kirodi Lal Meena, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, Madan Dilawar, Babulal Kharadi, Suresh Singh Rawat, Avinash Gehlot, Jogaram Patel, Joraram Kumawat, Hemant Meena, Kanhaiya Lal Choudhary and Sumit Godara.

Sanjay Sharma, Surendra Pal Singh TT, Jhabar Singh Kharra, Gautam Kumar, Heeralal Nagar were sworn in as Ministers with Independent charge, while Otaram Dewasi, Manju Baghmar, Vijay Singh Choudhary, KK Bishnoi, Jawahar Singh Bedam took oath as ministers of state.

Sanjay Sharma, Gautam Kumar, Jhabar Singh Kharra, Surendra Pal Singh and Heeralal Nagar took oath as ministers of state (independent charge).

Earlier, on December 15, Bhajanlal Sharma was sworn in as the CM of the state, and Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa took oath as Deputy Chief Ministers.

In the recently concluded Rajasthan election, the BJP registered victory in 115 seats out of 200, while the Congress secured 69. The state went to polls in a single phase on November 25 and counting of votes took place on December 3.
