Prime Minister Narendra Modi has convened a meeting of the Union Cabinet at 6:30 pm on Monday. The announcement came as the five-day-long special session of Parliament commenced today.

The meeting will be held in the Parliament House annexe building.

Though the agenda of the meeting is yet to be revealed, it is expected that the key bills listed for consideration during the special session are likely to be discussed. It is also speculated that the Cabinet meeting might have been called to discuss either about women’s reservation bill, the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) or ‘One Nation One Election’ bill.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi addressed the Lok Sabha on the first day of the five-day Special Session of Parliament and reflected on the history and significance that the Houses hold.

The Prime Minister also talked about the “emotional moment” when he entered the Parliament for the first time in 2014 after registering victory in Lok Sabha polls from Varanasi.
