The Madhya Pradesh police on Thursday arrested three people in connection with an interstate arms smuggling racket operating from Dhar district of the state.
According to the police, this trio was allegedly operating an extensive illegal arms trafficking network spanning across multiple states, including Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi, and Haryana.

Officials uncovered a stash of weapons and ammunition from an illegal weapons factory running in Dhar district on-site while conducting the raid.
“Dhar Police today busted a gang involved in the inter-State illegal arms smuggling and arrested three people of this gang. They have seized 149 country-made pistols, 2 pistols, and 13 live cartridges worth Rs 36 lakh,” Dhar Police Superintendent told news agency ANI.
The mastermind behind this network is identified as a man named Ishwar, who has been previously accused and was wanted in 24 cases. Authorities are currently investigating Ishwar’s potential weapons supply connections. Further inquiries are underway.
