Maharashtra Budget 2025-26 Highlights: Maharashtra’s Budget for FY 2025-26 is being presented today (March 10) by Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar. This marks the first budget under the newly-formed Mahayuti government and Pawar’s 11th budget as Finance Minister, according to a press release from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

During the COVID-19 pandemic, when many states struggled financially, Pawar’s fiscal management and prudence earned praise. Maharashtra’s past budgets under his leadership have prioritised various sectors, including farmers, laborers, women, Dalits, tribals, students, and youth.

Last year’s pre-election budget was lauded as both inclusive and transformative, with its public-friendly policies playing a crucial role in the Mahayuti government’s return to power. According to the reports, Devendra Fadnavis-headed BJP-led government will have to do a lot of balancing as it presents the Budget 2025-26.
