Two coaches of the Indore-Jabalpur Overnight Express derailed near Jabalpur Railway Station at approximately 5.50 am Saturday, according to railway officials.
The train was coming from Indore and was approaching platform number six when the incident occurred about 150 meters from the platform.
No casualties or injuries have been reported. Harshit Shrivastava, Chief Public Relations Officer of West Central Railway, confirmed that the train was traveling at a slow speed and was essentially at a dead stop when the derailment happened.

This incident follows a recent derailment on August 17 involving the Sabarmati Express. The Sabarmati Express, traveling from Varanasi to Ahmedabad, saw 22 of its bogies derail between Kanpur and Bhimsen station in Uttar Pradesh.
The derailment was attributed to the engine hitting an object on the track, although no track fractures were found. Investigations by the Intelligence Bureau and Uttar Pradesh police are ongoing, and no injuries were reported in that incident.
