Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu will launch a new IRCTC app on January 10. The main aim to to launch it is to enable faster ticket booking for the train passengers across the country. The IRCTC connect app, which is equipped with latest technology, will become IRCTC Rail Connect to help booking of train tickets in a much faster and simpler manner, a senior official of Railway Ministry official has said.
The IRCTC Rail Connect App will be formally launched next week to to help the growing demand of passengers to make the ticketing App more user-friendly and speedy. The app will be based on next generation e-ticketing system. It will be synchronized with ticketing website as well, which not there in the current system. Train Passengers will continue searching and booking train tickets and check their existing reservations or cancel them, and get journey alerts in the new app.

IRCTC Rail Connect app will retain the details of passengers for the tickets which were booked recently, so that they don’t need to enter their details time and again.
