Continued rain activity along with thunderstorms over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, and Sikkim are predicted today, India Meteorological Department (IMD) mentioned in its latest weather bulletin.

Meanwhile, the weather department mentioned fresh rainfall over the western Himalayan region and adjoining plains of northwest India is likely till March 29.

Fresh western disturbance in Himalayan region 

A fresh western disturbance is likely to hit himalayan region, which will bring widespread light rainfall and snowfall over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand till March 29.

Meanwhile, isolated hailstorms are also likely over Himachal Pradesh on March 28 and 29. 

Isolated heavy rainfall/snowfall is also likely over Arunachal Pradesh today. 

Cloudy day in Delhi

As per the IMD forecast, Delhi will see a generally cloudy sky with the maximum and minimum temperatures settling at 34 degrees Celsius and 17 degrees Celsius respectively.

The city’s maximum temperature settled at 33.2 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 15.8 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season’s average.

Rainfall in these states

Due to a cyclonic circulation over northeast Assam & neighborhood, fairly widespread to widespread light rainfall is likely in states like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Sikkim, Tripura, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal today.

Isolated light rainfall with isolated thunderstorms & lightning is likely over Punjab, Haryana, east Rajasthan, and west Uttar Pradesh till March 29.
