The Met department’s bulletin indicates a generally cloudy sky for the next 48 hours, with light to moderate rain and thundershowers, occasionally heavy, expected towards the evening and night.

Further withdrawal of monsoon

The weather department has also mentioned that conditions are favourable for the further withdrawal of the Southwest Monsoon from various regions, including Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, parts of West Bengal, Odisha, Karnataka, Telangana, Maharashtra, and the Central Arabian Sea within the next 2-3 days. In the lower tropospheric levels, a cyclonic circulation is present over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.

Looking ahead, the IMD has indicated that a fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalayan Region and adjacent plains from October 13. This forecast provides important information for residents and authorities to prepare for the expected weather conditions in the coming days.
