IMD Forecast: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm activity across Central India on February 13th, and in East India from February 13th to 15th.

An ‘orange’ alert for rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and hailstorms has been issued for East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand on February 13th. The weather department has advised residents to exercise caution and remain indoors. The IMD has also urged people in these states to seek safe shelters.

IMD has warned people against lying on concrete floors and leaning against concrete walls.

IMD Forecast: Rainfall

Due to the influence of a cyclonic circulation over Marathwada and another over south Vidarbha in the lower tropospheric levels:

– Rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is expected over East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand from February 13th to 15th.

– Vidarbha can expect rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning on February 13th, while Bihar, West Bengal, and Sikkim may experience the same from February 13th to 15th.

– Rainfall is predicted by the IMD over Odisha on February 14th and 15th.

– Uttar Pradesh is forecasted to experience rainfall on February 13th and 14th, with southeastern Uttar Pradesh likely to see rainfall during February 13th and 14th.

– Hailstorms are also predicted over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand on February 13th.

IMD Forecast: Minimum Temperature

– There’s a gradual rise in minimum temperatures by 2-4°C expected over Northwest India in the next 5 days.

– Many parts of East India can also anticipate a gradual rise in minimum temperatures by 2-3°C over the next 2 days.

– Following this period, there is no significant change expected. Central India is likely to experience no significant change in minimum temperatures over the next 5 days.

Dense fog was observed on Tuesday, February 13th, in Punjab and Odisha. Moderate fog conditions were reported in East Madhya Pradesh, while shallow fog conditions prevailed in Delhi, Bihar, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam.
