Delhi: In a shocking incident, roof of the Ambience Mall located in Vasant Kunj collapsed on Monday. Latest media reports say that the incident took place in the intervening night Sunday and Monday.

The entire portion of the roof collapsed during the regular maintenance check.

An NDTV report says that Ambience Mall has now been closed for a day after the roof collapse. It is scheduled to open tomorrow on March 5 after the repair work is completed.

This incident comes a day after two men tragically lost their lives on Sunday following a harrowing incident at the Galaxy Blue Sapphire shopping mall in Noida Extension, according to reports from PTI.

The victims, both aged 35 and residents of the Vijay Nagar area in nearby Ghaziabad district, have been identified as Harendra Bhati and Shakeel, as confirmed by Additional DCP (Central Noida) Hridesh Katheriya.

The unfortunate event occurred as the two men were making their way towards an escalator on the ground floor of the mall. Suddenly, an iron grille plummeted from the fifth floor, fatally striking them and resulting in their immediate demise.
