An 18-year-old boy was stabbed multiple times on a Delhi street on Tuesday night by a 16-year-old boy who was seen dancing next to the body after in extremely disturbing security footage.

The killing, allegedly over Rs 350, took place in northeast Delhi’s Welcome area, police said. CCTV footage installed in the area showed the accused dragging the victim’s body into a narrow lane surrounded by houses on either side.

The teen attacker then stabbed the victim and at one point stood over the corpse and danced. He reportedly stabbed the victim over 60 times, NDTV reported.

The man then can be seen kneeling down and slicing the victim’s neck and head. He also kicked the victim’s head.

CCTV footage installed in the area also showed the accused dragging the victim’s body into a narrow lane surrounded by houses on either side.

According to the police, the motive behind the murder was robbery. The accused first strangled the victim, rendering him unconscious, before stabbing him multiple times.

The victim was taken to GTB Hospital where he was declared brought dead, police said.

The accused has been apprehended by the police and efforts were on to identify the victim.

According to police sources, the accused was earlier involved in a murder case with the intention of robbery in 2022. The murder took place in the Welcome area itself, India Today reported.
