The yellow line of Bengaluru’s Namma metro will see operations beginning at a new time starting Wednesday (September 10) as the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has added a fourth set of trains. The addition increases the number of trains that operate on the yellow line. The BMRCL took to X and shared the revised schedule of the trains and added that the frequency of trains has also been increased.
According to the official statement, the services at Namma metro yellow line will now begin at 6 am, which is 30 minutes early to the previous timing of 6:30 am. Furthermore, trains will now run at 19-minute intervals. Earlier, the frequency of trains was 25 minutes, which has now been reduced by 6 minutes. The services will operate with the modifications on all days.
Bengaluru metro’s new announcement
In a post on X, the BMRCL said it has introduced the fourth train set on the Yellow Line from Sept 10, 2025. “Trains will run every 19 minutes with the first train at 6:00 AM from Monday to Saturday. Check the media release for more details,” it added.
It added that first train will depart from terminal stations from Monday to Saturday at 6 am, while on Sundays, the services will begin at 7 am.

However, no changes has been made to the last train timings. The last train from RV Road will continue to operate at 11:55 pm and from Bommasandra at 10:42 pm.
About Namma metro yellow line
The 19.15-km Yellow Line of the Bengaluru metro connects RV Road with Bommasandra via the tech hub of Electronics City. It was opened on August 11, and since then, it has seen 60,000 to 80,000 passengers per day on average, with three trains running every 25 minutes.
The ridership exceeded BMRCL’s initial estimates of 25,000 to 30,000, reported Deccan Herald.
