The Chief Minister’s residence at 6, Flagstaff Road in Civil Lines was forcibly vacated, allegedly at the behest of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), according to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) on Wednesday. The CMO claims that the Lt. Governor V. K. Saxena intends to allocate the property to a BJP leader.

The statement highlighted that belongings belonging to Delhi Chief Minister Atishi were also removed from the residence, which was previously occupied by her predecessor, Arvind Kejriwal. It was alleged that there were plans to allocate the bungalow to a prominent leader within the BJP.

Earlier in the day, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh voiced concerns, stating that officers were not allowing CM Atishi to take possession of the bungalow, and her camp office at the location was also vacated.

As of now, there has been no official response from the office of the Lt. Governor or the BJP regarding these allegations. The situation has raised questions about the political dynamics in the Delhi government, as the AAP claims the actions are politically motivated.
