Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal’s wife, Sunita, on Friday, shared a message urging people to reach out and show support via a WhatsApp number she shared.
In the message, she said, “We are starting a drive from today – Kejriwal ko ashirvaad. You can send your blessings and prayers to Kejriwal on this number… Show your support for him. Every one of your messages will reach him… I will deliver these to him in jail.”
Sunita Kejriwal added, “Arvind Kejriwal has challenged the most corrupt and tyrannical powers in the country… will you not support him in his fight?”

Her statement comes a day after the chief minister appeared in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue court that extended his Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody till April 1. Sunita Kejriwal had attended the court proceedings, where her husband had himself made submissions before the judge.
During the hearing, Kejriwal had alleged an ED motive to crush his Aam Aadmi Party. “You may keep me in remand as long as you like…I am ready for investigation,” he had said.
“So far, the CBI has filed 31,000 pages in this case in the court and 294 witnesses have been examined in this case. The ED has investigated 162 people and filed a 25,000-page report so far. By combining all these documents and reports, why have I been arrested? My name figures only in four statements,” the Delhi chief minister said in a jam-packed courtroom.

In a similar video message on Thursday, Sunita Kejriwal shared that her husband is not keeping well in the ED custody.
Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 in the alleged liquor policy scam. His ED custody was extended till April 1 on Thursday. He is the third AAP leader after Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh to be arrested in this case.
