Police investigations revealed that the unfortunate event occurred as the boy attempted to enter his flat through the balcony. The CCTV footage shows that he had gone outside at approximately 4:30 AM to meet a friend without informing his family.

“He did not tell anyone about this in the family. He returned around 6 AM and tried to enter the flat through the balcony. He had used this way earlier also to avoid getting scolded by his parents. He used to use the lobby of stairs and enter by holding the grill of the balcony,” an official said.

“But this time he got unlucky. To stop him from going out and coming inside the house like this, his mother had put a net on the balcony. He had somehow made a place in the net also. But this time, while coming inside, his leg got stuck in the net and he fell straight down from the 24th floor,” added the officer.
