The second edition of Startup Mahakumbh, which returns to New Delhi, begins on today and will see participation from over 3,000 startups and around 1,000 investors.

According to the official announcement made by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), which backs the event, it would have over 10,000 delegates from over 64 countries.

The Mahakumbh 2025 is curated by a committee led by Ficci, with support from Assocham, Nasscom, TiE, IVCA, and Bootstrap Foundation. This year’s theme for the event is ‘Startup India @ 2047—Unfolding the Bharat Story’.

Apart from mentoring sessions, this year’s event would also award Rs 50 crore worth of grants to some startups, shortlisted by a grand jury under the Startup MahaRathi Challenge.

The event will also feature sectoral pavilions dedicated to cutting-edge industries including AI, deeptech & cybersecurity, healthtech & biorech, agritech, climate tech, incubators & accelerators, D2C, fintech, gaming & sports, B2B & precision manufacturing, defence & spacetech and mobility.

Each pavilion will showcase exhibitions, conference sessions, masterclasses, pitching opportunities, and roundtables to provide global exposure and foster collaboration for Indian startups.
