A passenger train was briefly stopped at Bachrawan Railway Station due to a brake malfunction, according to an official. The incident, which occurred on Thursday evening, did not result in any injuries.
According to Railway Police Force in-charge Dinesh Kumar, the Lucknow-Yeshwantpur Express (Train No. 22684) was halted for over 30 minutes at Bachrawan Railway Station due to a brake issue.
“The 22684 Lucknow-Yeshwantpur express train was halted for over half-an hour-on Thursday evening at the Bachrawan Railway station following some fault in the brakes,” Kumar said.
Engineers inspected the train and identified the fault in the brakes of the S-1 coach.
The issue was resolved, and the train resumed its journey without any injuries to passengers, Kumar said.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that Kavach, the advanced train protection system, has been installed on 1,465 route kilometers and 139 locomotives, including Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) rakes, predominantly on the South Central Railway network.
He also informed the Rajya Sabha that tenders have been awarded for deploying Kavach along the Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Howrah corridors, which spans about 3,000 route kilometers.
Additionally, Vaishnaw noted substantial progress in infrastructure development, including the completion of optical fiber cable installation over 3,040 kilometers and the erection of 269 telecommunication towers.
