An Indian resident has been arrested in Kuwait for practicing medicine without a license. The Criminal Security Sector, represented by the Farwaniya Governorate Investigations Department-Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Investigations Section, detained an Indian resident who was practicing medicine without a license in an unlicensed clinic in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Kuwait, as part of the Ministry of Interior’s continuous efforts to prevent harmful phenomena and protect the public’s health and safety.
This came as a result of investigations into illegal activities in the area. It was found that an Indian resident was practicing medicine illegally. The accused was arrested while examining a child, despite her registered profession being that of a housewife.
A search of the site revealed a quantity of various medications, a blood pressure monitor, a stethoscope, and baby formula designated for distribution by the Ministry of Health. It was also discovered that the woman was preparing traditional remedies in capsule form and dispensing them to patients without any medical supervision.
During investigation, she admitted that she was practicing medicine without a proper qualification or license from the relevant authorities, and that she imported some of her medications from abroad and purchased the rest from local pharmacies. She was referred to the relevant authorities to take the necessary legal action against her.
