On the occasion of the festival of colors, Holi, the passenger services on the Noida-Greater Noida Metro will commence from 2 pm. The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) revealed that following the resumption of services at 2 pm, trains would operate at their usual frequency of 15 minutes.
According to the announcement made by NMRC officials on Saturday, Noida-Greater Noida Metro is scheduled to begin its commercial operations from 2 pm onwards on Monday.
NMRC Managing Director, Lokesh M, announced the change in schedule, stating, “On the occasion of the Holi festival – March 25, 2024 (Monday), Metro services will not be available till 2 pm.”
He further added, “Metro train services will thus start at 2 pm from both terminal stations on Aqua Line and will continue normally thereafter at a frequency of 15 minutes.”

The Aqua Line of NMRC traverses through Noida and Greater Noida. It has as many as 21 stations and covers a distance of 29.7 kilometers. This metro route serves as a crucial link for commuters in the region, offering convenient connectivity within and between these two bustling urban centers.
Delhi Metro revises train timings on Holi
Furthermore, on the occasion of Holi, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has also revised its train schedule. “On the day of the ‘Holi festival, i.e. 25th March, 2024 (Monday), Metro services will NOT be available till 2:30 PM on all Lines of the Delhi Metro including Rapid Metro/Airport Express Line.” Delhi Metro posted on X.
“Metro train services will thus start at 2:30 pm from terminal stations on all Lines on 25th March and will continue normally thereafter,” DMRC said.
The decision to temporarily halt metro services during Holi reflects the authorities’ commitment to ensuring the safety and convenience of commuters during festive occasions.
