The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has introduced a new shuttle service linking the Ghaziabad RRTS station with Shaheed Sthal metro station to improve last-mile connectivity for commuters.

In an official statement, NCRTC highlighted that the service is part of its ongoing efforts to enhance commuter convenience. The shuttle will operate e-rickshaws between the two stations, which are located about 300 meters apart, during peak hours. This service will be available free of charge to the public, providing a comfortable and hassle-free transfer.

The initiative also supports sustainability by promoting eco-friendly transportation options. Depending on demand, the shuttle fleet will be expanded in the future, the statement noted.

The Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station, located at the intersection of key roads along the Ghaziabad-Meerut route, sees heavy foot traffic, with thousands of commuters passing through daily. NCRTC launched the shuttle service to address the growing traffic and ensure passenger safety and convenience.

A foot-over bridge connecting Shaheed Sthal Metro Station to Namo Bharat Station is under construction and will provide safer, easier access once completed. Until then, the shuttle service will remain operational to ensure seamless connectivity for passengers.

Additionally, Ghaziabad City Transport Services Limited operates electric buses for last-mile connectivity at Namo Bharat stations, covering seven routes across Ghaziabad. Taxi services are also available, with some offering discounts for Namo Bharat Train commuters.
