In yet another bid to woo travellers, SpiceJet has introduced ‘Let’s Go Abroad’ sale and priced the one-way tickets at Rs 2,699 on international routes.

The all-inclusive fare  is valid for travel between March 19 and June 30, 2015 for tickets booked between March 19 and and March 22. 2015. The sale is valid only for travel on direct flights to international destinations on SpiceJet’s network, the company said.

Here’s what SpiceJet tweeted about the offer:

In February, Spicejet had announced its ‘Cheaper Than Train Fares’ sale offer in which it priced tickets at a well-grounded Rs 599 all-inclusive for domestic flights. The Budget airline had also launched another low fare scheme, ‘One Stop Sale’ a week later.

However, even as it is looking to lure the masses, SpiceJet was dealt a blow by the Delhi High Court, which directed the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to deregister six aircraft given on lease to the low-cost airline by two Irish firms on Thursday. SpiceJet passengers, especially vacationers, now may face a hard time again including paying higher fares or worse.

SpiceJet’s revival plan hinges on its ability to increase its Boeing jets to around 27 in the next couple of months because under the advance booking window it has booked tickets till October. Inability to garner enough aircraft could see it resorting to cancellations and refunds, which would be a big blow to its ambitions.
