Overcart OTT sale: After visitors faced problems in accessing its site, Overcart today released a statement indicating regret and blamed the 30x response from potential buyers for the glitch. Read the full statement below:

Overcart statement on its ‘Supersale’: Thank you for the overwhelming response to our #OTT Supersale. If you tried to login to our website during the first day and a half of our sale, you may have faced significant issues like accessing the website, completing a transaction, or both.

While we expected about 10X of our regular traffic for the sale, we received over 30X of our usual traffic. Consequently, our servers couldn’t cope with the increase in traffic and gave a faltered performance.

That being said, since last evening we have managed to stabilize the website and customers have not faced further issues in the ordering process. We have stress-tested the website for higher volumes and will be continually monitoring the website’s performance over the next few days. More on this below!
