Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani has made a personal investment in Mubble, an app-based mobile technology company that helps users track and control telecom spends and mobile data usage. While the amount remained undisclosed, the company said the funds raised will be used to scale up the technology team.
Speaking about the investment, Nilekani said, “Mubble brings unprecedented transparency and empowerment to the smartphone user, by democratizing technology and solving key problems of smartphone adopters across India.”
Founded in 2013 by IIT graduates Ashwin Ramaswamy and Pranav Jha, Mubble claims to have clocked over half a million downloads in less than six months. The app is designed to work offline and is available in multiple Indian languages.
