Avendus Wealth Hurun India released its annual Under 30 list on Thursday, featuring 79 young entrepreneurs in the country under the age of 30. Mumbai dominates the regional category on the list for housing the highest number of entrepreneurs. The financial capital of India is home to 15 out of 79 entrepreneurs on the Hurun India list.

Mumbai houses notable entrepreneurs like Aadit Palicha, Kaivalya Vohra, Anant Ambani, and Ananya Birla. Bengaluru comes in second place in the Hurun India U30 list with the highest number of entrepreneurs. The city houses seven entrepreneurs, including Kush Taneja, Pallavi Bihani and Suhas Rajkumar Kolewad. 

Surprisingly, Jaipur and Delhi have an equal number of entrepreneurs on the list. While both cities have huge differences in population, economics, opportunities, and exposure, each has four entrepreneurs from the Hurun India list. Jaipur is home to Abhishek Agarwal of Farmley, Rakesh Yadav of FloBiz, and Sandeep Kumar Singh of Project Discovery. Gurugram, Noida, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Chennai each house three entrepreneurs on the list. 

Women featured in U30 list

This year, six women entrepreneurs are featured in the Hurun U30 list. This includes Devika Gholap of OptraSCAN, who reside in Los Gatos, Devanshi Kejriwal of Skillmatics, residing in Mumbai, Radhika Ambani of Encore Healthcare, Mumbai, Ananya Birla of Svatantra Microfin, Mumbai, Vrushali Prasade of Pixis, Thane, and Romita Mazumdar of Foxtale from Ranchi. 

Interesting snippets from U30 list

Kaivalya Vohra  is the youngest entrepreneur on the list. The cofounder of Zepto is just 22 years old. Devika Gholap, the 28 years old,  is the youngest female entrepreneur on the list. Further, the average age of the entrepreneurs on the lsit is 28 years. 

BITS Pilani has outnumber IIT Roorkee and IIT Delhi for having the highest number of alumni on the Hurun India list. While IIT Delhi and IIT Roorkee has six each alumni on the list, BITS Pilani leads with 8 alumni featured on the list. 

Tech ranks on the top in the industry category, having 21 entrepreneurs leading software product companies. Consumer services and financial services ranks at second and third spot, respectively, with 12 and 9 entrepreneurs.
