1. The job: Creating products and applications that make customers “happy” is something that I really enjoy. I also love the fact that the work that I do impacts the lives of hundreds of thousands of business owners (hotels, lodging providers, bus operators, travel agents, etc.,) and above all, millions of travellers.

I must confess that I hate follow-ups and chasing people to expedite tasks and assignments. I hate being patient. I also don’t like wasteful and unproductive meetings.

2. The weekdays: I work late nights. My day starts at 10 am and ends at 2.30 am. If not travelling, I play squash in the evening, and then post dinner get back to work, ending the day at 2.30 am. I really enjoy customer feedback and then deploying the learning for new product developments. Launch of products and mobile apps, etc., is the high point of my work life.

The total team strength of ibiboGroup is 1200. I directly interact with almost 150 people and around 20 management folks. We have two sets of customers. One is a seller — bus operators, hotel owners, guest house owners) and the other is the traveller. I frequently interact with both constituents.

3. The weekend: Over the weekend I spend time with my family and friends. I often go out partying with friends or take off on short road trips or to a getaway.

4. The toys: Apple MacBook and Apple TV are my favourites.

5. The logos: I go for BMW, Zara and Diesel.
