In the era of electric vehicles, Haryana also aimed at sustainable transportation by launching the first batch of 5 JBM Eco-Life electric buses inaugurated at Panipat Bus Depot on 28th January. The event paid respect to Reducing CO2 Emission Day and was presided over by the Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar.
The National Electric Bus Programme states that JBM Auto will supply 375 electric buses to Haryana, signaling a focused effort towards sustainable mobility. The establishment of a complete ecosystem for the electric buses has also been done at the depot, including robust power and charging infrastructure.

The JBM Eco-Life electric buses have been categorized as Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEV), and promise substantial health benefits with estimated savings of approximately 1000 equivalent tons of Carbon Dioxide and 4,20,000 liters of diesel over ten years.
These buses are powered by fast-charging lithium batteries, it also contain all the modern amenities such as Real-Time passenger information systems (PIS), panic buttons, automatic bus vehicle location systems, CCTV cameras, and public address systems.
Safety and utility features have also been added such as a Vehicle Health Monitoring System, emergency stop buttons, fire detection systems, live camera monitoring, GPS-connected Passenger Information Systems, fire
extinguishers, electro-pneumatic controlled doors, and electronic braking systems among others.
The rollout of these buses shows JBM Auto’s commitment to supporting Haryana’s mission of embracing green and sustainable public mobility solutions.
